About us
Animal Home Nursing began in 2007 when there was a need for further help beyond the vet surgery, once pets went home. The idea began when friends asked for help with their pets after vet visits, as they found it difficult to do the 'simple' things the vets had asked of them, or they had been so overwhelmed by the instructions, information and emotion that exists when a problem arises with a loved pet. Keeping them flea free, checking dental hygiene, making sure they get their medication, and other things that are sometimes easier said than done. The venture began as an 'extra' service to vet practices and pet owners and has since grown into a respected and reputable service, winning Local Business Awards two years in a row, 2010 & 2011. With 9 years experience, Bec Harvey is a competent Veterinary Nurse and Canine Myofunctional Therapist. She is well practiced at giving tablets, noticing trouble areas, and is certainly willing to advise where further medical treatment is indicated, having a good rapport with many local vets. Bec is a member of the Small Animal and Equine Naturopathic Association and the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia. . Through her experiences Bec has worked with dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, guinnea pigs, birds, pet rats & mice, possums and other wildlife. Of her own she has a horse, 2 budgies, 11 fish, a cat and a dog! |
